The Doctor's Long Lost Relative to Board the Tardis

The Daily Star reports that Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page will star in Doctor Who.

Apparently, she will play a long-lost relative of the Time-Lord.

She’s been offered two episodes and if that goes well the sky’s the limit.

She’ll start off as a long-lost relative of the Doctor but may then become a major player.

Obviously we would love her to have a long-term future in Doctor Who

Who could Joanna be playing then?

There are two names that immediately come to mind. The first one is Susan Campbell née Foreman, the Doctor's granddaughter who travelled with the first incarnation of the Doctor, played by William Hartnell.

The second is his ''daughter'' Jenny, who was played by Georgia Moffet in The Doctor's Daughter. But this one is the least likely possibility in my opinion. I mean, they would surely ask Georgia Moffet to reprise her role rather than recast.

Of course, there is a third possibility and it's that she will be a completely new character. After all, she could be Susan's mother or any new relative: A sister, a niece, a great-granddaughter. The possibilities could be endless.

Also, are the two-episodes the series 5 finale or something from series 6 (Which would be unlikely I suppose at this point)? I hope we'll soon get an answer.

What do you think about this news? Chime in!
